Lost and fun

2024

81 X 53 inches

This piece was originally a small improvisation exercise that got out of hand. I wanted to play with leftovers from previous projects. All the pieces used were not only scraps, but pieced remains or discarded blocks, they had to have at least one seam in them, no other fabric was added to the quilt. I grafted together these previously sewn pieces and infused a new life into this Frankenstein creature. As I went on, I had before my eyes a retrospective of the last 10 years of my quilts. What was once unworthy and abandoned, was waiting to be found again.
